It really was awesome having my parents in town for a few days!

When Staci and I were in Germany, my mother came to visit. And I remember the feeling of seeing her and how it changed my world for two weeks.
I had so much fun just having her there, getting up early to have coffe, going to parks, and visiting the amazing sights in Germany (the U.S. can't compare to the thousand year old castles and cathedrals).
Parents are great. I live 3 states away and see them less than once per year (on average).
It's good to spend time with the one's whom God used to give us life. You are a good son.

Lake Lure is the bomb! Chimney Rock provides a nice view as well. I have many fond childhood memories of both places.
Glad to hear that you guys are doing good and getting nestled in up in "dem thar' mountains."
